With Mercury stationed retrograde in Scorpio on October 24 in your 9th house of long journeys, higher education, and big-picture beliefs, your usual intuitive flow needs a practical anchor. This transit asks you to slow down, double-check your logistics, and make sure your daily reality matches your grandest visions. Whether you are checking your [pisces weekly horoscope](https://12horoscope.com/en/pisces/weekly) or rethinking your next big getaway, here is how to work through the upcoming weeks without losing your passport or your patience. ## Why is Mercury retrograde hitting my 9th house so hard right now? Your 9th house governs physical travel, publishing, big beliefs, and higher education, making this upcoming retrograde a direct challenge to your perspective. Mercury governs communication, schedules, and transit details, so when it appears to move backward in this expansive sector, logistical glitches are almost guaranteed. You might experience delayed flights, lost luggage, or miscommunications with professors, mentors, or international colleagues. Instead of treating these snags as personal tragedies, view them as an invitation to refine your plans. Check out your complete [birth chart](https://12horoscope.com/en/birth-chart) to see how this area of your life fits into your larger cosmic blueprint. ## How should I handle Mercury retrograde Pisces travel plans? Double-confirm every single booking, keep screenshots of your itineraries, and build extra time into your schedule for getting to airports and stations. When Mercury is retrograde in your 9th house, booking errors, missed connections, and GPS failures happen much more easily than usual. If you are packing a bag for a trip, err on the side of caution with your departure times and give your [pisces monthly horoscope](https://12horoscope.com/en/pisces/monthly) a quick read for broader timing context. A little paranoia now saves you hours of stress at a foreign gate later. ## What does this mean for my studies, courses, and big ideas? Draft essays, thesis statements, and application forms carefully, but expect to do at least two rounds of heavy revisions before submitting them. The 9th house also rules teaching, publishing, and philosophical studies, making this a stellar time to edit past work rather than launch entirely new academic initiatives. If you are returning to a course you abandoned or rewriting a proposal that stalled out last year, you will find unexpected grace here. If you want to dive deeper into how your natural inclinations support this intellectual pivot, read up on core [pisces traits](https://12horoscope.com/en/pisces) to ground your study habits. ## Are my core beliefs and worldview shifting during this transit? Your deepest philosophies are up for review, meaning an opinion you held firmly last month might suddenly feel incomplete or outdated. Retrogrades force us to look backward, and in the sign of Scorpio, this introspection digs deep into the psychological roots of your convictions. You might question a long-held dogma, a spiritual path, or a cultural assumption you inherited from your family. Let your worldview stretch and breathe without rushing to adopt any new doctrines just yet. ## How can I keep my daily routine steady while my mind is exploring? Ground your soaring thoughts by tending to your immediate surroundings and daily habits, especially with Mars and Jupiter sitting firmly in your 6th house of practical work. When your mind is wandering across oceans and abstract theories, small mundane chores keep you tethered to reality. Wash the dishes, take a brisk walk after dinner, and keep your workspace tidy. Taking care of your everyday rhythm ensures that your big dreams do not leave you feeling scattered or burned out. ## What other sky movements should I watch out for this month? Mark October 23 on your calendar when the Sun enters Scorpio to join Mercury in your 9th house, shining a bright light on your need for adventure and truth. This shift highlights foreign cultures, higher learning, and personal expansion, giving you the warmth and confidence to tackle administrative hurdles. A few days later on October 26, the full moon in Taurus lights up your 3rd house of local communication, bringing an honest conversation with a neighbour or sibling to a satisfying head. ## From the journal - [A beginner guide to astrology houses meaning in your chart](https://12horoscope.com/en/articles/astrology-houses-meaning-beginner-guide) · [Markdown](https://12horoscope.com/en/articles/astrology-houses-meaning-beginner-guide.md) - [how to work with the new Moon october 2026 for deep renewal](https://12horoscope.com/en/articles/new-moon-october-2026-renewal-ritual) · [Markdown](https://12horoscope.com/en/articles/new-moon-october-2026-renewal-ritual.md) - [Taurus full Moon in the Leo 10th house: major career milestones](https://12horoscope.com/en/articles/taurus-full-moon-leo-10th-house-career-milestones) · [Markdown](https://12horoscope.com/en/articles/taurus-full-moon-leo-10th-house-career-milestones.md) --- ## How this content is made Planet positions are computed with astronomy-engine (geocentric, tropical zodiac, whole-sign houses counted from the Sun sign).
